Our Center is a full service center dealing with vision loss issues for individuals in Washington state, serving the Greater Olympic Peninsula.
Call for information or leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can. It is best to call and make an appointment.
Our hours of operation are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

About the Center: Utilizing the National Federation of the Blind and Lions Club Sight Foundation methodologies.
Services Avaiable: Braille training, Introduction to Mobility aids and cane travel, Training on adaptive technology, Computer training with screen reader and large print access. Previously owned donated equipment (available for a donation). List of individuals who have previously owned equipment for sale.
Information about: Alternative methods in dealing with Vision loss, Diabetes, Helpful agencies and eye care professionals, Dog guides, Reading materials - Our Library has "Kernel" books with vision loss subjects and stories by low vision and blind individuals in accessible formats. Use them here or take them home!
The goal of the Vision Loss Center is to provide services to enhance the quality of life of individuals with vision loss.
We will provide a full spectrum of services to address the needs of individuals with vision loss. The vision loss center will provide advocacy and other social and support services to accommodate the needs of individuals with vision loss and their families.
Match needs with providers and vendors of exams, glasses and adaptive equipment. Provide training for mobility, Braille instruction, technological adaptive equipment and daily living skills.
Provide instruction and information on how to remove barriers affecting our customers. Facilitate the provision of a variety of services including financial assistance, vision restoration, counseling, recreation, public education, and a local source for vision loss adaptive equipment and devices. Promote local community involvement in the programs and activities of the Vision Loss Center.
The support group for the visually impaired and blind was started 8 years ago. The name is: VIPS - Visually Impaired Persons of Sequim. The phone number is:360 - 457- 1383. The support meetings are held on the FIRST Saturday of each month. Specially designed for persons who have any vision loss or just want information about such persons and how to better their lives.
Our meetings are open to everyone. We welcome you to join us at The Chinese Garden Restaurant. The address is 271 South 7th Ave Sequim, Washington. Their phone number is:360 - 683 - 4825. Our hours at the restaurant are 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. The prices are reasonable at about $6.50 to $9.50 and the food is served hot and great! No reservations are necessary.
Additional Support group: The Port Angeles Blind/Low Vision Group meets at the Port Angeles Senior Center. All interested persons are welcome whether they have normal vision, poor vision, or no vision.
